January 31st was Baking Class time for our brethren from Montreal, joined by around 70 other vegans from the community. Sr Vera Schiopu came from Ottawa to host a baking demonstration of vegan pastry and methods of replacing dairy ingredients in baking. She taught about how to make moist and fluffy sponge cake without the use of eggs or milk. After the class, there were several questions, followed by a tasting of many different recipes.
We have had a wonderful feedback and several people asked us to have another session. For the next session, we alreay have 30 people wishing to register.
